Job description:

- Review medical record documentation and accurately assign codes for the primary/secondary diagnoses and procedures

- Capture data with consideration for regulations and requirements to support medical necessity and reimbursement

- Query physicians when code assignments are not straightforward

- RHIT and/or CCS required

- At least 2 years of inpatient coding experience at an acute care facility required

- Stable facility position with paid holiday, PTO, retirement 401K match & more

- Onsite in central North Carolina for 90 days, then remote from North Caorlina all but one day per month. Applicant must reside in North Carolina or be open to relocating to North Carolina.
