Job Type: Permanent full-time

Job description:

- The Inpatient coder will be responsible for coding all Inpatient records while meeting established quality (95% DRG accuracy) and productivity (2.5 records/hr. average) standards

- Must be able to explain codes, terminology and coding guidelines to physicians and hospital personnel

- Works with Clinical Documentation Improvement staff to ensure complete, consistent documentation within the medical record

- RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS required

- Minimum of 10 years' experience as an Inpatient coder at a 200+ bed facility

- Experience preferred:

o Trauma coding

o Interventional radiology coding

o EPIC and 3M Encoder
